Dr. Lisa Miller graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. After graduation she joined her father, Dr. James Laird in his mixed animal practice located in Northeastern Arkansas. In 2004, Dr. Miller left Arkansas to join Dr. Jerauld Woodring at Northridge Veterinary Hospital in Yucca Valley. Her primary focus is in general medicine and surgery for dogs and cats. Dr. Miller and her husband Robbie have two daughters and one granddaughter. Her spare time is spent riding the high desert trails on her beloved mule Bessie, training her Border Collies, cross stitching and searching for good restaurants. Dr. Miller is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Dr. Bethan Smith grew up spending time with dogs, cats and various small fuzzy animals. Dr. Smith obtained her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Microbiology and earned her DVM in 2005 from the University of Wisconsin. During her tenure in veterinary school, she completed various externships in the US and Canary Islands. Dr. Smith has a special interest in working with exotics (reptiles, birds and small mammals). Following her graduation, Dr. Smith worked for a year in Chicago for an exotic/emergency practice. Prior to joining High Desert Animal Hospital in 2007, Dr. Smith was associated with a small animal general practice in Palm Springs, CA. She is a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians and the American Veterinary Medical Association. On a more personal level, Dr. Smith shares her home with three dogs, Lenny, Tina and Ozzy.
Dr. Veronica Getty is a graduate of North Carolina State University. Dr.Getty treats dogs, cats and has a special interest in working with exotics (reptiles, birds and small mammals). Dr. Getty resides here in Yucca Valley with her husband, their dog Louie, and two cats, Milo and Basil. Dr. Getty is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
